One of our most requested features is to simplify the Delivery Planning step. While we are continuing to streamline and improve this at a fundamental level, we wanted to empower our users as soon as possible! To that end, we implemented an AI-powered import option, which is a perfect use case for handling complex data and interfacing with our Import File format!
- Login to Dashboard > Go to Plan Delivery > click on AI Import.
- Accept the entitlement, which may have a monthly or per-use cost associated with it
- You can upload your files here, and/or use the text box to provide additional context, or to copy and paste data there directly
- Once it returns data, you should download the file and save it.
- Now you can continue here through the import process, or edit the file and use the standard import process to continue.
You know the old saying “Nobody's perfect” or “we're only human after all”? Well, this applies to AI as well; although it's a powerful new tool, it is NOT perfect. It is meant to take arbitrary formats and return them in our format; this one step can save hours of conversion, and from here we recommend using the downloaded file, manually making any final adjustments, and then uploading via the normal upload process.
Here are the common issues and how to best resolve them:
- Misaligned Data
Due to some tricky data formatting, it is common to have the fields offset 1 or 2 columns to the left; and no matter how much you tell the AI to fix it, it just cannot see it.
In addition, there is no good way to edit Columns here without building an entire Google-Sheets in our software.
As such we strongly recommend using the downloaded file, manually making any final adjustments, and then uploading via the normal upload process.
- Missing Data
We require Contact Name and Phone Number, as well as Stop Name and Address. It's possible that if you're only providing a location such as “(Your Store Name) in Viejo San Juan” that our system can't properly find that address. As such, we've ensured the system will use reasonable defaults, which include ensuring no blank required fields, and if it can't find the location it will use our Office address. It is up to you to make sure that the final Route Plan includes your stops correctly!
- If you have an active account with us, login and use the Chatbot in the lower right. Although it's automated, you can request human assistance there, which will alert our team. This is the best way to get in touch with us.
